Hi All,

Need Your advisement assistance please, for TESU, ASBA evaluation.

Question 1: So, if a course is placed in another category, how does one get it unstuck/moved?
Question 2: Do they have preliminary/secondary and final evaluations? This 25 day evaluation - is this all I am gonna get?
Question 3: Once most college records arrive at TESU, do they still continue to tweak, as more (later than expected) Accredited arrivals appear, or does that cost more, or do they not get counted? My initial info was speculatory. (Still learning their requirements.)
Question 4: Who does one contact, while enrolled, to get the ball rolling again? I know that CLEP transcript is still out there somewhere (54 of 60).
Question 5: Does ALEKS Stats cover Understanding Physical & Natural world or not?

So close, yet so far away...

Regards,
traveler

1. Email advising and ask them to change it. They will or they won't.

2, 3, 4.They'll update your evaluation any time you send a new transcript as long as you're a student

5. I dunno.

#5 is a No. It's not a science course. You can take a science from Saylor or Straighter-line, or Study.com
See here for possible options and what is required by TESU general education classes.

Question 1: So, if a course is placed in another category, how does one get it unstuck/moved? Just contact advising and tell them where you want to move a course to. If it will fit there, they will move it. For instance, if you take Intro to Religion and they stick it in Gen Ed, but you want it moved to Info Lit, they will move it there. No problems. Now, if you have a course equivalency that you don't think is correct, and you want to have it changed, that is a different process.
Question 2: Do they have preliminary/secondary and final evaluations? This 25 day evaluation - is this all I am gonna get? If you are not a student, then they will do 2 evals. If you are enrolled, then they will do a new eval every time new credits come in.
If you've sent in your CLEP transcript and you're just waiting for them to receive it, there's not much to do. If you haven't sent it yet, you need to contact CLEP to send it. Not sure if this answers your question.
Question 5: Does ALEKS Stats cover Understanding Physical & Natural world or not? No - math doesn't cover this, only science/computers (don't even ask, it's a stupid one to me).

Between all of the replies, hope that answers all of your questions.

Did you manage to avoid the Cornerstone?

Advisement - traveler - 07-08-2016

Thank you all for your time and answers. You are very kind.
I am enrolled, and have requested CLEP transcript. Guess they are a little slow.
I don't know yet if I have avoided the cornerstone, but did try.
I had 3 computer classes, but one was too old, and one a duplicate - guess that is how the science is missing.

If you enrolled before 5/25, then you avoided it. Any time after that, you did not.

Stats was the only class floating in the Other category.
That and all the welding classes that don't count as science either.

There is still conflicting information on the website.

Advisory: TES-100 will be a required introductory course for all students enrolling after July 1, 2016. As of July 1, 2016, tuition for TES-100 is nonrefundable.

Another user who registered after 5/25 but before 7/1 was subject to the cornerstone, and advising confirmed 5/25 as the cutoff.

Regardless, I'm happy it's past 7/1 now, so we can all put this confusion to bed for new enrollees.
