EC Self-Paced Courses/Degrees - Exfactor - 06-29-2016 Quote:Cengage Learning and Excelsior College today announced Engage-Learning-Logo a partnership to create an innovative, low-cost, alternative pathway to college credit. The core of the collaboration will be a set of self-paced digital courses – using Engage Learning market leading content – each with integrated diagnostic and formative assessments, as well as a college credit bearing summative exam – developed by Excelsior’s Center for Educational Measurement, among the most respected higher education assessment organizations. There are already plenty of inexpensive options available for the CJ degree, including Propero/Pearson for those more difficult to find courses. EC Self-Paced Courses/Degrees - jsd - 06-29-2016 Agree with both of you. I just want more info about the MBA path. EC Self-Paced Courses/Degrees - KayV - 06-30-2016 I would still like to hear about the Liberal Arts Capstone credit-by-exam option that they mentioned a few months ago. I think a CBE Capstone would make Excelsior much more enticing as an option over TESU/ COSC for some people. They sort of vaguely mentioned it in the article, and it sounds like EC is going toward a Cengage-based platform. I think the school will stay true to its origin, and whats its known for, but outside of that the bread and butter of EC is now actual courses. People are preferring courses over exams. |
