Passed the Sales Management TECEP! - SweetSecret - 06-26-2016

I only really spent a about 15hrs studying for this, but I passed! I realized last minute that I was in the April term, which meant it was just the 80 multiple choice questions... without the essay questions required as of the May term. I did briefly browse both texts, particularly the Sandhusen text related to international commerce... but none of the test questions actually covered that. It really more covered styles of management, saleforce compensation, and general marketing. I am still planning to study and take the Marketing Communications exam tomorrow. I already took/passed Advertising. If I were going to do this again & had more time I would do the test order as: Advertising, Marketing, Sales... as there is a lot of crossover going in that order.

I'm also still waiting to get the pass/fail verdict back from the Marriage & Family TECEP I took last week.

Things are wrapping up - so excited!:willynilly:

Passed the Sales Management TECEP! - cbosdell - 07-05-2016

I took the new version of this exam last week (40 MC/6 essay questions) and just found out I passed today. I read the recommended text "Sell" by Ingram and studied for about twelve hours. I felt like I had a good grasp of the material but honestly the test was a lot harder than I expected. I really didn't think I passed after submitting the exam. I think part of that was due to my not reading the free online text in the test description (mistakenly thinking it was all overlap) so I would suggest anyone looking to take it at least briefly review both.

I agree there was a lot on styles of management, sales force compensation, and general marketing. I remember there being some focus on marketing channels and personal selling also. I'd recommend taking Advertising and Marketing Communications before this one if you're planning on all three as it will help give you a better foundation for any random questions that may pop up.
