Cengage Brain - Terrible Customer Service - SweetSecret - 06-11-2016

This is just a heads up to any of you who ever think about purchasing quizzes or flashcards from CengageBrain.com... their customer service is really bad. I'm actually ashamed that I wasted $6 on this... yes - it's that bad. I've been studying for the Marriage & Family Tecep, and normally will use the free quizzes from Cengage that match the book... but this one wasn't free so I opted to buy access for $6. Some of the questions aren't complete questions, as in there are line breaks and you can't see the second line. Generally these quizzes show you what the correct answer is, but this one just refers you to the page number... and sometimes your answer matches the text but the Cengage quiz marks the answer incorrect. There are also a number of spelling errors... as in marital spelled "martial". I wrote to Cengage customer service and said which exam I was working from, gave numerous examples from various chapters with the question number and issue (cut off, spelling error, correct answer marked as wrong) and this is the response I received:

[INDENT]"Our Developers will not investigate an issue without screenshots and Technical Support does not have the ability to review quizzes you have already taken. If you can provide 1 example from each of the situations listed above (with a full page screenshot for each), we can then forward this to our Developers for review.

Once we have this information we will be in a better position to assist.

Thank you,
Lou
Cengage Learning Technical Support"

So, given that they don't seem to want to provide reasonable customer service for a product they sell... I figured I should share this experience with all of you so that you all don't waste your money on these prep quizzes. If it were just one or two issues that would be one thing, but I paid $6 for this and shouldn't have to waste my time creating screen shots of all of their numerous issues on the quizzes from this book. Besides, there were too many issues. Huge FAIL Cengage...

I'm using C and C Cards Company for my nursing flash cards. I really like them.

That's an interesting option, there are free options I think, like Quizlet. I was looking into it for Medical Terminology, but I found a couple made already.
I don't actually have to put too much effort for the Flash Cards, but will also look at other resources like.. maybe even take a SL course for dupe credit.
At the same time, I'm also looking to expand my knowledge using flashcards for Advertising, as i'm doing a TECEP for that as well.

That's when you reply that it's OK, if they don't want to fix it, you'll just leave bad reviews on every internet site you can find.

I like to reply "Sorry, but I don't get paid to do your job for you. Now, if you would like to negotiate a price for this that makes it worth my time, then I'd be happy to do it."

There's no reason they can't go through and look at the quizzes themselves.
