Tesu proctoring - tsimmns - 04-22-2016 Does anyone know how they go about this? It appears they don't use ProctorU, so just wondering their process. I have heard some places lock your computer or have access to it while doing the test. I have heard others don't, but require the use of a mirror or some sort. I might have to take this test in my bathroom if that's the case, ha. Otherwise, I'm gearing up for my first TECEP from the March term before the semester ends and just trying to get the rest of my ducks in a row. Thomas Edison State University: Proctor Requests Online Proctoring Center Powered by ProctorU Tesu proctoring - AngelaP - 04-22-2016 They do use ProctorU and I just used them for my PR TECEP. You can schedule your test directly through ProctorU or you can use the link in the TECEP area when you log into TESU. The mirror is for them to be able to see your PC screen, room, desk, etc. and it can be a handheld mirror. Tesu proctoring - tsimmns - 04-22-2016 Thanks for this info. Ill go back and look into ProctorU then. Also, how was the TECEP? It will be my first one and I've been stressed out about it since failing the American Government CLEP last year. I'm hoping to be able to pass this on my first try and have 3 more credits out of the way. Tesu proctoring - AngelaP - 04-22-2016 Are you taking the Public Relations one as well? Tesu proctoring - tsimmns - 04-22-2016 No I'm just signed up for Marriage and the Family for the March term, but need to get on the ball before time runs out. However, I might need to take a couple extra TECEP exams for residency at the end and the easier they are the better. I'm enrolled in CIS 107 and Intro to Sociology for the May term giving me 9 hours if I pass all three with 15 more hours to go. Tesu proctoring - AngelaP - 04-22-2016 I haven't taken those, but others here have and may be able to give you some insight. I would start a new thread asking for input on the TECEP. I would definitely read the recommended book though. If you decide to take the PR TECEP, let me know. Good news is you only need 16 res credits now, bad news is that you will either have to pay a 2000 dollar fee or complete the remaining credits through TESU to the tune of 500 per credit (out of state). They might let you still reg. for May Term but be ready to pay a 150 fee for that as well. The Med. term. TECEP is a one credit exam ($38) if you need that last one for 16. Remember if you are a BA major your capstone will count for 3 res credits too. I might switch to the Per credit plan or whatever it's called now if I can to where I only need 16 hours of Residency as tuition will still be the same being military. In that case I would have 9 hours from TECEP exams from May term and a precious term needing only 7 more hours. C programming and the system analysis class long with this 1 credit capstone would work great or take maybe the Applied Math for an easy A even though it would be more money in the long run. However, this would all be dependent on them letting me switch from the military plan to another one. However I did see last night while under my profile page the option to select a plan. That's an issue I need to email them and ask since I'm trying to be finished with everything by the August term for Decemeber graduation. |
