As per the TESC catalogue, you need only 3 credits to fulfill the requirement for Oral Communication. There's the Public Speaking DSST, but I've read about some horror stories on that. Are there any alternatives to getting these 3 crucial credits? I will take that DSST if I need to, but I'm trying to avoid it Smile Ideally, I'm looking for the fastest way through this area.

COM-209: Public Speaking
ENG-202: Technical Communication

Are there any equivalents to Technical Communication? I only read of people discussing Public Speaking, though; I recall something about SL having a course for this. Is it superior than the DSST? Faster? I'm looking to get through this one as fast as possible. Thank you !

COM-108 also fulfills the requirement, and that's what Straighterline's intro to communication course transfers in as.

They've just added Technical Communication as meeting the Oral Communication requirement. Before, it was only Public Speaking. In addition to the SL course, Tor College Credits has an Intro to Public Speaking course that meets the requirement. I think they'll accept any communications course that requires speeches.

I wonder what I could use on Technical Communication. You know, the real problem is that I've been having a hard time locating a testing center that supports DSST Public Speaking lol

So, we have Torah and SL...maybe Penn Foster?

You only need one course to fulfill the requirement. The link you posted is just giving you options that are offered at TESU.

Yes, PF has a speech course. It's in ACE as available through 2017.

What's a name of PennFoster course for oral communication? I like their format and ease of completing the test.

Yeah, but I think I'll go with SL. I'll use a promo code, so I'll just have to pay approximately $129. Membership $99 + discounted course at $30. I'm not going to bother with getting another course because I don't want to have to pay the membership fees if I don't have to. :p It's the cheapest, and fastest route that I see. No test exam facility that I call accepts DSST Public Speaking. One guy told me that it's tough because he would need to put me in a separate room so that I can make my speech, but far enough to where the other people taking tests won't hear me. lol funny stuff

Now that sounds like a good idea. I didn't think of promo codes use. Thank you for the lead.

StraighterLine coupons, discounts and promotion codes | StraighterLine Yeah, it's almost like the cost of a CLEP+ testing site fee now. Not bad, as long as you get done before the 30 days lol

I like that you can download mp3s to your phone through SL
