TESC wants emails to confirm outside courses used - AngelaP - 01-20-2016

Called TESC advising express line today to check on a course to be used on my degree and the advisor told me per the school's policy you have to do it via email for any outside courses. I explained to him that I was looking for a replacement class for a class I had challenged and Rhonda had previously helped me over the phone, but he would not do it. I am sure I can call back some other time and get a different advisor and get a different story, but wanted to let others know.

I would recommend getting it in writing anyway. They have a tendency to change their mind and if you don't have something to show that they told you it would work, you're out of luck.

Yeah, getting anything verbally from TESU is a crapshoot. Best to send in a written (emailed) request so that you get a written response. Otherwise it never happened.
