Possible jobs with a BSBA - icedds - 01-13-2016

Hello,

I am fairly new to this site and I already have a plan about the classes to take based on all the info in here. AMAZING!!

Now, this may be a silly question, but if I decide to get the BSBA from TESC (it seems it is the quickest way to a Bachelor)...what kinds of jobs are out there for it?

I recently moved to the U.S. so I am wondering if it is a good option for starting a career in the private sector.

Thanks in advance.

What I did wad use the Linkedin app to search jobs that required degrees. The most common one I found was BSBA. The least common was Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Psychology.

Although Psychology is becoming more common at HR positions. Even the HR jobs are first listing a degree in HR or BSBA.

You need to figure out what you want to do and research how you can start doing it. There are a lot of different kinds of jobs I could do with a business degree, but if I don't want to do any of those jobs, then what good is it going to do me? Currently, I'm a substance abuse counselor, and it's a field that is seeing a lot of growth. While there may be many more different types of jobs asking for a business degree than a psychology degree, I would not have met the licensing requirements for anything in the mental health field with a business degree. The last thing you want to do is be miserable or even bad at what you're doing. Your personality and skills are not going to be a good fit for everything.

A BSBA is just a Business Degree. It is useful for all kinds of jobs in the private sector. Also, many jobs just want any degree, so this will work for you in that way. But, there are a lot of very specific requirements to it, even though it's a pretty general degree (a little of everything in terms of business). So there isn't a lot of space in the plan for extra courses you may have taken or want to take. A BA in Liberal Studies is very general, with lots of flexibility, and you can test out except for the capstone.

But I agree with Sanantone, you need to figure out what you want to do, and then get a degree that gets you to that goal.
