Charter Oak -- Natural Sciences Requirement -- Lab Question - TinHead - 12-29-2015 On their website it states: "Students will understand the basic scientific process and theories and be able to apply scientific inquiry. One 4-credit course that includes a lab must be taken. The second course can be either a 4-credit lab or a 3-credit course without a lab." If I already have my science credits fulfilled (which I do) but I do not have the lab completed -- do I need to take a full course with a lab or just the lab? I am looking to do this via Straighterline and the option to just do a 1 credit lab is offered. Thanks! Charter Oak -- Natural Sciences Requirement -- Lab Question - topdog98 - 12-29-2015 Just the lab portion will work. Charter Oak -- Natural Sciences Requirement -- Lab Question - TinHead - 12-29-2015 Perfect! I have all my science credits via Study.com -- that won't be an issue (as they are not from Straighterline)? Because your courses are not the same as the labs offered, I would wonder if this was an issue. If you'd already taken Chemistry, Anatomy or Biology, I would think a separate lab would work. But since you've taken Environmental Science, Geology & Earth Science, this seems like it doesn't fit into the parameters of the requirement. I guess because I have to do the lab regardless I should get that out of the way and then when I am applying for COSC I will find out if I still have one more course to go or maybe just do the Saylor Biology for $25 |
