Quickbooks Question - videogamesrock - 11-30-2015 I have the option of buying Quickbooks Accountant 2015 for $139.99 from my school or I can buy 2016 Pro from Quickbooks for $179.99. I just tried their online version and it has everything I need except the ability to record multiple companies. I basically need to be able to download bank transactions so that software can automate expense categories. I like that it integrates with TurboTax which would save me a lot of time when I file the Partnership tax returns. What I have been doing is printing out all of the bank statements and then manually entering them into excel. This would take several days to do. Plus it is a little sloppy and in case of an audit, I'd rather have something that would be easier to follow. Any suggestions about the 2 version would be greatly appreciated. Quickbooks Question - nonya - 12-06-2015 Have you looked into the Quickbooks Online Accountant Program? You can have multiple clients which sounds like what you're looking for. Your account is free and each client/company gets charged based on the level of service needed - you also get discounted pricing that you can pass along. I'm a big proponent of QBO over desktop since it is more flexible. You can check it out here: QuickBooks Online Accountant Software Of course, if you prefer having an installed version, either of those is fine. Here is an FAQ that explains the difference between the two programs. Accountant has more features than Pro (which may be overkill for what you're describing), however, if it's cheaper, I'd recommend going with it. One feature I like about the online QB is that once it pulls from online banking it already is auto categorizing my transactions which reduces my time. Thanks again. |
