Looking for low cost 100/200 Computer Science courses - nyvrem - 11-29-2015
Hello all,
I'm looking for any online computer science courses for less than $200/credit hour. I've checked some Arizona and new mexico community colleges (NMJC, Clovis), also checked with Fort Hays State and Minot State, None of which have any CS courses online for the Spring 2016 term. If anyone can direct me to any other places that have CS courses ?
Looking for the below course sequence.
Programming I / Computer Science I
Programming II / Computer Science II
Computer Organization & Architecture
Data Structures and Analysis
The other place I found having these were Ocean County College in NJ but they charge $250/hour.

My local CC (Palomar College) has online courses for $190/credit hour for non-residents (only $46/cr if you're a CA resident):
CSCI 112 - PROGRAMMING FUNDAMENTALS I
CSCI 114 - PROGRAMMING FUNDAMENTALS II
Foothill College (another CC in CA) has online courses for $31/unit (quarter system), looks like the $152/unit non-resident tuition is not applied if you take less than 6.5 units):

C S 1C ADVANCED DATA STRUCTURES & ALGORITHMS IN JAVA
C S 2C ADVANCED DATA STRUCTURES & ALGORITHMS IN C++

The only issue is going to be testing. For whatever reason, our CC's here don't seem to understand that testing can be done online, and almost all of the require you to do it another way. Jump on into the 2010's already! You will want to make sure a certified testing center is nearby before you start.

I've checked foothill and realized it's $150/qtr hour. so the cost is about the same as a 3 hour semester hour course.
guess i'll need to find a cheaper alternative again.

Call and double check, I think it's $31/qtr hour not $150. Tell them you're an out-of-state resident taking 1 course and see what they say.
