TESC capstone vs. Charter Oak Capstone - clep3705 - 11-02-2015

I've been telling a friend about degree completion options for her daughter. She's smart, so we're expecting that courses already taken plus a few CLEPs would get her to 117 hours reasonably soon. I'm looking for a good comparison of a TESC capstone and a Charter Oak Capstone. Let me explain. Previously I posted about a TESC capstone instructor who is requiring original, qualitative research. Is that the norm or the exception? The friend's daughter wants to write a research paper using secondary sources - in other words, a standard albeit longer college research paper sounds appealing to her. Is that possible?

I suppose I should also ask about degree completion at TESC vs. COSC. For a person with a lot of liberal arts courses (many in theatre) spread all over, is it more difficult to get those last few hours at COSC over TESC? The impression I've gotten is that TESC is easier to complete for those who have a lot of credits already. The objective here is degree completion the fastest way possible. School and major don't matter.

No idea on the capstone, but if I had a lot of credits, I would spend the money to apply at both schools and see where I stood with each, and which one would be the easiest/cheapest/fastest to complete. It's so hard to tell which classes transfer into which areas, and whether or not you have the UL credits necessary to finish. For $150, to be able to compare would be worth the cost.

At TESC, once you apply, get your online account set up, and get all your transcripts sent over, you can then look at every degree plan and compare them, based on your actual credits/courses.
