copyright and SAT words - bluebooger - 10-06-2015 so I was thinking about trying to make a mobile app to help people learn some of the words that appear most often on the SAT but of course that brings up the problem, where do I get this list of words ? it's easy to find a list there are 1000s listed on google https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#safe=off&q=most+used+words+sat+exam but I would guess most of these lists are copyrighted for example: there's this http://img.sparknotes.com/content/testprep/pdf/sat.vocab.pdf but it's from sparknotes and this washingtonpost.com: Education Marketplace which seems like it might be a paid advertisement from Kaplan so if I wanted to use a word list on a mobile app (and charge for the app or give it away for free, but with advertisements) anybody have any idea on copyright ? are the SAT vocabulary lists copyrighted ? I mean, how is this NOT a violation of copyright ProGo Learning – Personalized Tutoring in the Greater Boston Area » Vocabulary Lists from The Official SAT Study Guide I would hate to make an app and then get a copyright violation levied against it copyright and SAT words - Prloko - 10-06-2015 you can't copyright common usage and language.
