In what order? - BealeAFB23 - 10-01-2015 I have 8 (maybe 9) CLEPs and DSSTs left to study and take that will count towards my Bachelor's in Business Administration with a minor in Contracts and Acquisition Management. I plan to use the Prior Learning program with UMUC to obtain the credits needed for my minor since my minor is my job As for the exams, here is what I'd be able to get credits for:Introductory Business Law Human Resource Management Organizational Behavior Business Ethics & Society Principles of Microeconomics Principles of Statistics Principles of Finance Financial Accounting Management Information Systems (currently unknown) Now, my plan, and in this order, is to take Human Resource Mgmt, Organizational Behavior, Introductory Biz Law, Business Ethics & Society, Financial Accounting then I'd build up the guts to study and take Microeconomics, Stat and Principles of Finance. I guess I'm looking for reassurance that the first four test build up to each other. I don't mind taking the hardest of the first four either, that way the subsequent tests are "easier" so to speak. I would like feedback about how I should rack and stack my exams. I know I can get by with about 5 days of studying for the first four test, but I've taken a look at the last four and I might just end up taking the class. I really just want the credit. In what order? - hightecrebel - 10-02-2015 Honestly, Microeconomics isn't that bad. The REA study guide and a 5-10 days of study should have you able to pass. In what order? - dfrecore - 10-02-2015 I might move Business Law to after Ethics. Financial Accounting before Finance. I don't think the rest really overlap much if at all, nor will it help to take the last 3 in any particular order. But I could be wrong. I'm dreading Microecon myself, not looking forward to it (even though I took Macro and got a B). A million years ago. In what order? - BealeAFB23 - 10-09-2015 Well, I knocked off Human Resource Mgmt with a 434. Now I'm signed up for Introductory Business Law next Wednesday evening. How feasible do you guys think it would be for me to knock out Biz Law & Business Ethics & Society in the same day (Wednesday night?) In what order? - Prloko - 10-09-2015 Hey Beale, Are you in Contracting? If yes, TESC's BSBA in Operations Management was a better fit. The DAU ACE courses and AF Courses fit right into the major easily. I got a bunch of upper level credit. In what order? - johnjaxs - 10-09-2015 This is as you listed them: Introductory Business Law Human Resource Management Organizational Behavior Business Ethics & Society Principles of Microeconomics Principles of Statistics Principles of Finance Financial Accounting Management Information Systems I would take them in this order: Human Resource Management Organizational Behavior Management Information Systems Business Law Business Ethics Microeconomics Financial Accounting Finance Statistics (This one can be done before or after the whole list) Honestly you could probably mix match the order, but do Financial Accounting before Finance. It makes studying for Finance way easier, also if you want hit up Managerial Accounting as you will probably be half way ready for finance with those two courses. Also the Business Ethics and Business Law should go together, but no real particular order, as in you could easily do ethics first then law or vice versa. Just to reiterate I knew someone who passed Finance with just the knowledge he had from Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting alone. Good job and Business Law and Ethics have some crossover, I took Business Ethics & Ethics in America together, the week before that I took Business Law, between Ethics in America and Business Law, I was ready for Business Ethics without that much more studying. Did you directly apply the credits to the school or did you do the experimental learning portfolio? In what order? - BealeAFB23 - 10-10-2015 Prloko Wrote:Hey Beale, Are you in Contracting? OMG!! I just looked it up!! I can test out of EVERYTHING almost and they will accept pretty much everything I have left to take via DAU Classes. In what order? - Prloko - 10-10-2015 Yeah, I did TESC and tested out of almost the entire degree with the exception of TQM (actually, I took two other classes, but by choice, you can easily test out of them). That is the only course you have to take as I couldn't find anything including ACE to replace it. You can TECEP Operations Mgmt. If you are in the military, your AF CCAF courses will transfer, and there are a bunch of DAU courses that they will accept. |
