30 Free Ace Credits - videogamesrock - 09-07-2015 I'm not sure if this has come up on the board, but it seems they offer 30 free credits that are ACE approved. https://www.dreamdegree.org/first-year-free/signup/ To transfer their First Year Free General Education credits, students must enroll in a school in the ACE CREDIT College and University Network after contacting the school to verify that credit transfer will be guaranteed. If they decide on another school, DreamDegree charges a fee of $33.33 per credit for their First Year Free transcript, which offsets costs for Personal Coach, eBook, Professor, tools, and technology in courses taken. I would assume the Big 3 would satisfy that requirement. They seem to get referral commissions, so if you do not choose a ACE partner college (which all of the Big 3 are) they will charge you $100 per course. This seems like a very easy way to get 30 credits including English Comp 1 and 2. 30 Free Ace Credits - videogamesrock - 09-07-2015 Course Title Course# ACE # Communication & Conflict Management COM250 ADS-0008 Developmental Psychology PSY310 ADS-0023 English Composition I ENG101 ADS-0012 English Composition II ENG105 ADS-0013 Interpersonal Communication COM110 ADS-0003 Introduction to Ethics ETH150 ADS-0025 Introduction to Logic PHL105 ADS-0004 Introduction to Philosophy PHL150 ADS-0024 Introduction to Psychology PSY150 ADS-0022 Introduction to Sociology SOC150 ADS-0028 Organizational Communication COM275 ADS-0010 Personal Leadership Development MGT175 ADS-0005 Principles of Accounting I MGT150 ADS-0014 Principles of Accounting II MGT155 ADS-0015 Principles of Management MGT310 ADS-0006 College Learning/Goal Setting LRN105 ADS-0002 U.S. History I HIS205 ADS-0018 U.S. History II HIS206 ADS-0019 30 Free Ace Credits - gingerbeefE - 09-07-2015 Have you taken any of the courses? How long do they take to complete? 30 Free Ace Credits - videogamesrock - 09-07-2015 No I just came across this the other night. 30 Free Ace Credits - clep3705 - 09-07-2015 DreamDegree.org smells very similar to CollegePlus.org. I liked the internet better when .org was used for legitimate non-profit organizations. Before signing up for DreamDegree.org, I recommend that you read very carefully. If you change your mind about where you want to ultimately go to school, they want $33.33 per semester hour in fees. I fail to see the value in DreamDegree.org but I'm sure many people will like the idea of having an academic coach. Collectively this forum provides better academic coaching for free than DreamDegree or CollegePlus. 30 Free Ace Credits - videogamesrock - 09-07-2015 $100 per course still isn't bad. Plus that's only if you decide not to go to an ACE partner school. Most on this forum would use this to go to the Big 3. I see this as a similar free option as a SL course. 30 Free Ace Credits - futuremrsmlb - 09-07-2015 I tried to sign up. It still doesn't work. Same here. 30 Free Ace Credits - sanantone - 09-08-2015 DreamDegree changed its name to AlignDegree about two years ago. AlignDegree seems to have gone out of business because the links to enroll in their courses no longer work. It was an organization started by a man known for buying up struggling non-profit colleges and turning them into for-profits, but AlignDegree wasn't as much of a rip-off as CollegePlus. |
