Failed one tesc class - Nellz490 - 08-25-2015

Hello,

I believe i failed one of the course at tesc. I am really worried that its going to affect my GPA. This is my first time taking online classes. Is there any way you can find out if your failed for sure? when do you find out about the final grade?

thanks,

Nellz,

Sorry to read that you might have failed a course. In the future, I would recommend you peruse this site. There are MANY ways to get credit from TESC without taking classes, can save you time and money. Good luck!

I think the only way to find out besides contacting your mentor directly is to keep checking OSS or my edison for udpates. If you did fail, then the best option may be to retake. Anyone know TESC's policy on F's and retakes? Try contacting your mentor, although it is unlikely, maybe there will be a way to get a bump in the grade to help you out if you're only a couple points away. One mentor I had, bumped up my discussion grades to bring my grade up from a B+ to an A.

It's been a few years since I was a student, but I took classes at TESC. I think there was a grade tab for each of my classes, so you should be able to log in and see your points.

GPA will be made up of all your graded credit - good or bad- so you can use a GPA calculator to see how many passing grades you need to bring it up. The important thing to remember, is that TRANSFER CREDIT won't work- so you can't take a class at your community college and get an A, it has to be through TESC.

Calculate Your GPA I use this one a lot

Based on an F in a 3 credit class, you can calculate that you'll need 9 credits of A grades to bring up to a 3.0
