Using 1 test for multiple requirements (TESC) - mattack91 - 05-29-2015

Hi guys,

I tried the search tool to no avail, so I was hoping somebody could answer for me.

I've been talking with friends and family about my experiences in testing out, and one of my friends have developed an interest in it. I'm trying to help him create his own degree plan (BSBA Accounting), and I'm seeing exams that fill more than 1 requirement. For example, the Computer CLEP fills both the computer requirement, and it's a practical elective. Same thing with Business Ethics, as it fills a Diversity requirement as well as a BSBA requirement.

My question about is, would 1 test count for 2 requirements? I know he still needs to hit 120 credits, but if he fills two requirements, could they just take any unused test as a free elective?

Thanks in advance guys

This strategy works at Charter Oak, but not at TESC. For example, at TESC if a course fills either free electives, general electives or your major, TESC will place it in only one of those categories, most likely your major. You will have to use another exam.

At Charter Oak, once course can complete as many requirements that qualify, you will still need to meet the other requirements (i.e. LA credits or 120 total), but it will fill multiple requirements.

For example rebel100 used the following yesterday:

"You could use DSST Human Cultural Geography to satisfy all three: SS/Global/and Non US, that would reduce three exams to just one."
