Principles of Supervision (Clep) vs Prinicples of Management (DSST) vs UExcel - Toastmaster - 05-10-2015 Hi all! I have two questions. 1. Are the Clep (Supervision) and DSST (Management) in actuality the same "class" offered by two different groups? (Hence the overlap). If not, do colleges like Excelsior accept them both? (in different areas, like, 1 for Applied Professional, 1 for Business, etc) 2. I'm considering the Principles of Management UExcel (I prefer graded credit for now). Will the study materials from InstantCert, the unlocked forums, and online sources like free clep prep be sufficient? (I think Saylor has a free class too) Thanks for your help! I'll take question #1 - Actually Management is the CLEP exam and Supervision is the DSST. There is TONS of overlap. Supervision, on my exam, had a few economics and quality management questions; otherwise covered much of the same material. I took Management on a Friday or Saturday and went back on Monday to take the Supervision exam after a quick review of the most recent posts in the exams feedback thread. No additonal study was required. If I had to do it aggain, I would take both on the same day. I thought they were both easily doable. On a difficulty scale of 1-5, both were 1.
