Kaplan PLA Credits Transfer to COSC / Excelsior / TESC - blrdude - 04-14-2015
Hello,
I completed my Associates in Business from Excelsior and have about 6 credits in Political Science and US History. I am looking to enrolling at Kaplan University's Open Enrollment Program for Prior Learning Assessment. I am looking forward to earning about 48 credits more from the PLA program of Kaplan.
Is is possible to have these 48 credits transferred to any of the Big Three (COSC / EXCEL / TESC)?
Have any of you done this process in the past?
Look forward to your valuable feedback.
Best Regards,
Malolan

Are you referring to Open College @ Kaplan University?
If you are enrolled in the program, course assessments are $100 each and are recorded as "AC" on Kaplan's transcript. No gradea are earned, only credits.
If you are NOT enrolling in the Open College degree program (Bachelor's in Professional Studies) it will cost $1500 to have portfolios evaluated for credit.
Usually, "AC" credits are not transferable. However, it is up to the receiving institution to decide.
Hope this helps!
