I can't listen to any language I can understand while studying, so I typically listen to orchestra types of music. However, given what you posted you might want to look up Edith Piaf & Josephine Baker.

I have to listen to things without words when I have to accomplish anything that involves writing. But often I have on ambient and modern dub, so things like Zero 7, Thievery Corporation, Ulrich Schnauss, Amethystium, Patrick O'Hearn, Cantoma, Nightmares on Wax, that sort of thing. I have Pandora pretty well trained by this point, so it cranks all that stuff out for me.
