I need help Resolving the testing Dilemma? I have a Human Growth and Development test scheduled for Thursday, my CLEP ticket expires on January 21st. I have not done any study for this test and so don't know the material enough to pass it. So if I do not take the test and let the ticket expire on the 21st when is the next time I can take the test? I know I'd have to purchase another CLEP HG&D test ticket from the College board.
If I use the ticket and I'm sure to fail the test since I have very little knowledge in this area what would the benefit be other than seeing some of the questions on that particular test bank. I have a 21 day old daughter that needs my current attention so I'm certain I won't have time to even review the material between home life and my two part time jobs.

Have any of you had a ticket expire and if so what was the consequences?

You should be able to buy another test registration any time. The only problem that would come into play would be if you forced yourself to take the test (not being prepared), taking a chance that you might not pass. If that would happen, then you would have to wait the 3 months. If you are thinking of letting your current ticket expire, I would hold off registering for that exam until you are closer to ready because that would give you 6 months to change your mind or reschedule.
