New Member Questions - passit1 - 01-11-2015 Hi - I'm brand new here. I'm a decent test taker and have done well on some CLEP, DSST and TESC TECEPs so far. But I'm concerned about the Principles of Finance DSST. It looks more challenging than the others I've taken. My background is 16 years of working with budgets and P&Ls while running healthcare kitchens- which is financish but not the type of info I'm seeing in this forum. I'm planning on studying for 2 weeks while working full time and taking care of my husband & daughter. And then taking a week of vacation and ignoring my family entirely to study. That week will culminate in taking the DSST. Will this be enough? Moved from specific feedback section. New Member Questions - GoodYellowDogs - 01-11-2015 Just remember that to pass them you only have to be as good as a college student taking the test... which means if you have a lot of experience, you are probably almost there. You need to know many basic finance formulas. It is basically an application based test, rather than knowledge. I had several present value/bond/ and stock value questions. Of course there are general knowledge questions also, like CAPM, etc. |
