Hey everyone, I'm 51-ish credits out from completing BSBA GM. Trying to figure the best way for me to pursue it to have it done as quickly as possible. Before I get deep into this, I would like to state that anyone with a suggestion for TECEPS or classes that are relatively simple to study for/knock out and will help meet the residency requirement, please toss it out there. I was recently told the per-credit plan residency classes/TECEPs don't need to be part of my degree to get the residency accomplished (if this is wrong, please let me know, basing this off of my pre-enrollment discussions with advisors).

Remaining Requirements:

English Comp I - ENC-101 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
English Comp II - ENC-102 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
Resp Eth Lead - Ethics in America DSST
Sci, Nat Sci, Interdis - Intermediate Algebra ALEKS
Macroeconomics - ECO-111 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
Microeconomics - ECO-112 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
Statistics - Statistics ALEKS
Prin Fin Acct - ACC-101 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
Prin Manag Acct - ACC-102 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
Bus Law - LAW-201 TESC (Class, 3 residency credits)
Prin Fin - Principals of Finance DSST
Intro to Mktg - Principles of Marketing CLEP
Strat Mgmt - Strategic Management PENN FOSTER
Area 2: Finance - Money & Banking DSST (Gone, looking for replacement)
Area 3: Marketing - Advertising/Sales Management TECEP (Exam, 3 residency credits)
Area 4: Management - Business Statistics SAYLOR
Area 4: Management - Organizational Behavior DSST

That is everything I have left to do, any help to break this down into quicker to accomplish chunks is appreciated. I'm not too worried about transferability anymore, I have enough CLEP, DSST, and RA credits that I'm well beyond anything the other schools I'm looking at for the semi-distant future will accept (eventually desire to teach at the middle school level).

The classes are going to cost $491 per credit hour whereas the TECEPs are only $111 each for non-residents. Look at TESC's list of TECEPs and use them to replace CLEPs, DSSTs, Penn Foster, and/or Saylor. You most definitely want to replace the TESC courses if time and money are concerns for you. There is no need to take any courses for the BSBA in General Management.

This is one way to accomplish those credits using TECEPs for residency requirements. Advertising and Sales Management are two different exams, and they just added Managerial Communications as an option. Corporate Finance from Penn Foster is considered an exceptionally manageable way to get hours in Finance. Good luck!

sanantone: Time is the main factor, money not so much. The GI bill kicks in in-state tuition, so I'd be left with ~$90 per credit hour for any classes I did end up taking. I was originally planning to pursue enough graded credits for honors, but finishing the degree as soon as possible is of more value right now than getting honors, as I can pursue them with another degree later.

KayV: Thank you for the TECEP suggestions, I don't know how I missed that Advertising and Sales Management were two different TECEPs. I'm guessing I either put them both on my list as a 'decide which to do' or I saw them listed that way somewhere and forgot to check on it.

Now, another question: Does InstantCert have study materials for TECEPs? All I've seen on the site is CLEP, DSST, and ECE. I've done well on DSST's and CLEPS with Peterson's, REA, and WiseOwl guides, but I know they don't exist for the TECEPs.

Are you saying that you will only have to pay $90 out of pocket after receiving aid because in-state tuition is $407 per credit hour under the Per Credit Tuition Plan. Are you doing MDCP instead? TECEPs will definitely be faster than courses unless you take 3 months to study for each test. Instantcert has flashcards for Operations Management, Public Relations: Thought and Practice, and Strategic Management. All of the available flashcards are under the "Flashcard Subjects" tab.

Yes, I'm saying I'll have $90 per credit hour left after the gi bill kicks in the $407 for in-state tuition. I am not doing the MDCP, as I was advised I'd have to switch over to the per-credit at the end of my enlistment (new years), and it would be easier on them as well as myself to just wait and enroll as a veteran as opposed to trying to work with the VA when already enrolled.

And thank you for the tip, I kept looking at the breakdown where it had CLEP, DSST, and ECE and assumed the flash card subject tab was just the list of what they had for each.
