Excelsior: Foundations of gerentology.........help - reeree - 07-07-2014 I need to prepare for my Foundations of Gerentology exam. I just passed the Adulthood and Aging test today with a B. The study guide is suggesting to books Social Gerentology (Hooyman) and Later Life, The Realities of Aging (Cox). Do I really need both of these books?? Can I please get some feedback on which books were used for studying. Thanks!! Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Excelsior: Foundations of gerentology.........help - alram - 07-07-2014 Learner.org has a good video series for the Foundations of Gerontology exam called Growing Old in a New Age. I watched the videos (the parts of the videos I thought were important) which corresponded to the areas of the content guide. The test was pretty straightforward. If you have a good grasp of the information on the content guide exam you should do fine. The knowledge gained from Adulthood and Aging will also be helpful. http://learner.org/resources/series84.htm Excelsior: Foundations of gerentology.........help - reeree - 07-08-2014 Thanks for taking the time to reply. Will definitely check out the videos Excelsior: Foundations of gerentology.........help - marianne202 - 07-08-2014 I used the later life book. I also used cliff notes and other study materials.
