Looking for advice regarding fitting credits into a TESC degree plan - AHAdams - 06-05-2014

Hi All,

I am just starting out here, looking to get a basic bachelors degree from Thomas Edison before applying to a Physicians Assistant program. Over the last several years I have accumulated 48 credits through CLEP exams, and have another 30 credits worth of prerequisite courses I have to take for the PA program, and I’m trying to figure out the best way of using these 78 credits in a TESC degree.

I don’t mind doing the work of figuring some of this out, but don’t know much about the TESC degree options, except that I have looked into a BSBA in General Management, which looks relatively simple, but doesn’t use all of my courses, leaving me with “wasted” credits. Some of you seem to be experts at this stuff. Smile Does anyone have a recommendation for how to best use my courses (below) at TESC?

I love learning, but right now I am focused on simply jumping through the hoop of getting the degree, except for the PA prereqs, which I need to know well. Smile Cost and time are currently the biggest factors for me.
Thanks in advance for any help.

A.H.

Earned Credits:

CLEP: Social Sciences & History 6
CLEP: Humanities 6
CLEP: Analyzing and Interpreting Literature 6
CLEP: Freshman College Composition 6
CLEP: English Composition w/o essay 6
CLEP: Introductory Business Law 3
CLEP: History of the U.S. I 3
CLEP: History of the U.S. II 3
CLEP: Information Systems & Computer Applications 3
CLEP: Principles of Management 3
CLEP: Principles of Marketing 3

I’m not sure what credit I will get for Freshman College Comp and English Comp, as they have now been merged into a single exam, and the essay seems to be a requirement now.

PA Prerequisites:
I’m planning on taking some of these through the University of New England, and the rest through Straighterline or by testing out (statistics and psychology).

Medical Biology with lab 4 (Already taken through UNE)
Microbiology with lab 4
Anatomy and Physiology I with lab 4
Anatomy and Physiology II with lab 4
General Chemistry I with lab 4
General Chemistry II with lab 4
Statistics 3
Psychology 3
