I decided to take the Myers Briggs personality test and I am an INTJ. The INTJ personality is excellent for excelling in academics, which I did. Also, sometimes people are surprised by our ability to lead as well as our ability to work as a manager. It is true that we generally prefer to work in the background and only lead, when we feel like it is necessary to do so. It is also true that INTJ's are very good at innovating and envisioning new ideas. Also, INTJ's are trend setters. Although, we are not quiet as good in our communication with others. However, we are quiet capable of good communication; if we are given the chance to get a word in edgewise that is if we desire to do so. A few of the ways that we deal with our daily stress is; solitary walking, eating food, listening to music, or sleeping. By the way, INTJ's like a little bit of organized chaos. So what is your personality type? How do you like to deal with your stress?

I am an INTJ as well. I have taken the Myers-Briggs many times. I would rather be something else.

I'm an INTJ. It's very rare among females. INTJs are usually highly intelligent, but they fault at hiding the fact that they think everyone else is dumb.

I never really bought into grouping people by their personalities, but I took a test that said I am an ESTP. I read the key traits and it suddenly makes sense. Dislikes rules, risk-taker, impatient, logical, people skills....they all fit.

I've taken that test several different times. I'm usually an ENTJ, although I've scored ENFJ a couple of times.

I register INFP, but I wonder if this is more how I see myself rather than how others see me.

I'd wager this forum will be a bit skewed toward certain personality types, since we've all been drawn to the faceless internet for solutions to our financial or time-management issues to solve an issue, rather than seeking and following the direct advice of people we know and their experiences. I love working with other INTJ (or similar variants) because when they call me with a question, I know they've put in the effort to seek the answer themselves first, and are truly stuck. Versus a fair bit of my other coworkers that, rather than spending so much as a second researching on their own before stopping someone else, run straight to me to interrupt and ask a question that could have been answered with ten seconds on Google and a minimal application of common sense. Smile (Is my INTJ loner angst showing? Ooops!)

I'm also an INTJ (I=89%, N=50%, T=75%, J=100%).

My work puts a lot of stock in these tests. The Hogan test is what they use, and its questions are designed to identify the outward personality actually displayed, not what we think of ourselves. Coincidentally, my results of that were roughly the equivalent of INTJ. As with most personality tests, it depends on how honestly and objectively you answer the questions.
