Testing for for some Sociology credits - beestrng - 01-26-2014

So I was not able to pass my EP class at tesc by 3 points.

I need 6 credits for to complete my degree and I am done. I am planning to take the Dantes SOS-305-DE Drug and Alcohol Abuse for 3 of these credits.

Any other ways to earn 3 soc electives quickly that can transfer to TESC?

Does it have to be "sociology" or social science?

Substance abuse isn't transcribed as sociology.

Note 1: The following TECEP exams OR DANTES exam OR Guided Study course may be used as an elective in the sociology area of study.
SOS-301-TE Alcohol Abuse: Fundamental Facts (3 credits)
SOS-303-TE Substance Abuse: Fundamental Facts (3 credits)
SOS-305-DE Drug and Alcohol Abuse (3 credits)
SOS-304-GS Drugs and Society (3 credits)

Note 2: SOS-304-GS Drugs and Society DUPLICATES SOS-303-TE Substance Abuse: Fundamental Facts AND SOS-305-DE Drug and Alcohol Abuse.

Anything that transfers as a sociology 300 level credit.

Marriage and the Family TECEP transcribes as SOC-210-TE if a 200 level course will work. If not, you may check into Excelsior Exams. I believe they have some upper level Social Sciences. Alternatively, Pueblo has several upper level self-paced Sociology courses.

Huh, so I guess some or all SOS courses can be equivalent to sociology courses?

I took the following Penn Foster courses and they were transcribed as sociology courses.

1)Crisis Intervention
2)Organized Crime
3)Correctional Institutions

1)SOC-305... Crisis Intervention
2)SOC-359... Organized Crime
3)SOC-309... Sociology of Incarceration

And PF terrorism was transcribed as SOS-440...Terrorism.

No, it is CSU Pueblo. They have an Independent Study program. The link follows.

Independent Study > Division of Continuing Education > Colorado State University-Pueblo

CSU Pueblo is liberal on accepting CLEP and DSST tests.

Undergraduate Degree Program > Division of Continuing Education > Colorado State University-Pueblo $149/semester hour

Does anybody know if the transcript would in any way indicate distance education or otherwise not look like a transcript that a CSU on campus student would have?
