DSST Management Information Systems - KALKATS - 01-22-2014 Hello, I was planning on taking this Dantes exam and was wondering what the best way is to study for it. Is there a good website that has flash cards or a good study guide? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks DSST Management Information Systems - UptonSinclair - 01-22-2014 This PDF shows what is covered on the test and suggests a couple of textbooks for study. I like to pick up a $5 textbook through thriftbooks or Amazon and use it to study. I seem to remember looking up some of the topics on Youtube as well. The test is not difficult if you have experience with computers. As a side not, they are not called Dantes anymore. They are just called DSST's. DSST Management Information Systems - sanantone - 01-22-2014 Instantcert, the owner of this forum, has flashcards, but they cost $20 a month. They were my only study resource, and I did well on the exam. However, I have above average knowledge of computers. DSST Management Information Systems - Westerner - 01-22-2014 Management Information Systems DSST Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com DSST Management Information Systems - KALKATS - 01-23-2014 Thanks for the information everyone! DSST Management Information Systems - NatashaB - 01-23-2014 I would just use the free-clep-prep reference guides. I bought a couple of study guides but they weren't that great, all the information is easily available on the internet. DSST Management Information Systems - KALKATS - 01-24-2014 Thanks NatashaB. Did you ever use InstantCert website? I was leaning towards that route. I was thinking a one month subscription would be long enough to study for a couple tests but I will just have to test it out and see. DSST Management Information Systems - NatashaB - 01-24-2014 I did use InstantCert but i'm not a big fan of it in general. I think the IC questions for this topic were fairly spot on though and would have helped if I had used it more, I just hate having to spend time typing in answers. DSST Management Information Systems - OE800_85 - 01-24-2014 Agreed. I basically used free-clep-prep.com for all of my tests, this one wasn't too difficult. If you have any kind of IT background, you should be able to pass this cold...but I shouldn't recommend people doing that. Just keep clicking through to see the answer and move on to the next card. |
