There is apparently a father son team writing CLEP preparation books. They are very inexpensive and compact. No practice tests. Not many reviews on Amazon, but generally favorable.

Haus family series of CLEP preparation books - topdog98 - 01-11-2014
I got one of these when it was offered as a free kindle download. (I think it was for Western Civ. II.) I ended up not using it because when I was looking through it, there were obvious errors.
