So I have been lurking for a while now but I am anxious to get started. I have my AS in biotechnology from a CC and I have a few credits (LL) from a local university.
I have a lot of work experience in food science and that's the main reason I want to finish my degree, to advance at work. I have worked as a lab tech for 7 years but need a bachelors to move up.
I want to do the GRE option at Charter Oak. I found a few UL labs but suggestions are welcomed. Can I get my credits evaluated without enrolling? If so what fees are needed for just that? I want to wait to enroll so I can take whichever tests I will need. I am concerned about my credit eval since the schools I went to. Had quarters and not semesters.

You can apply for $75, that will get you an evaluation. COSC is generally pretty good about chatting with you regarding an unofficial review even before then.
If you choose to apply that is good for one year (you can enroll within 1 year without paying the application fee again).
The GRE is a tough way to earn credit for most...in fact I know of exactly 0 people who have ever done it.

Do you mean the gre is difficult or the courses needed after the gre? I think the gre test material looks doable especially since I have taken a great deal of those classes. And you only need a 40...

And you only need a 40...You might well be the exception to the rule, but the GRE is considered a pretty hard exam. Not all that expensive though, and you might sail right through.

Keep in mind that some of the biology credits you already have might be duplicated by the GRE Biology. COSC would make the final determination if/which credits would be duplicated by the GRE. If they are all lower level credits you are guaranteed the 9 upper level for transfer by getting the 40th%ile. 24 credits for $150 is a pretty good bargain. As rebel100 pointed out, it is considered to be difficult by many people. It is certainly doable. I believe one user took at passed the GRE Biochemistry exam a few years back. They started with no knowledge on the subject and scored pretty high on the test. Keep in mind the test is only offered April, September, and October. If this is something you are going to do, drop me a line. I might be able to dig up some extra practice tests for you.

I would appreciate the practice tests. I plan to try the April test. I found a lot of people study the Campbell bio. Text so I got that and I plan to study my butt off. I emailed cosc but being the holidays they are out of office.

Here are two tests I found online. They should help you gauge where you are at versus where you need to be. I'd recommend taking the older practice test first. Save the other after studying for a while.
