Capella Flexpath - publius2k4 - 12-20-2013 A lot of information on the Flexpath plan at Capella is now on their website. The Flexpath MBA is competency based, and is set at a per quarter tuition rate of $2000 ($8000 per year). Just like WGU, a student can earn as many credits per term as they can handle. It seems like a fairly decent competency based option. Besides, one can get an AACSB-accredited MBA for $10k-13k. This is just interesting to note because of the competency-based options some schools are beginning to include. The Flex Path will appeal to many adults who have the industry experience and don't want to sit through a class (either online or brick and mortar). The AACSB option is for those who want a "gold standard" MBA. I have an AACSB MBA and a Capella doctorate, and am very satisfied with how my career has played out. WGU is also non-profit, so it doesn't come with the for-profit stigma. |
