Applying for Jobs with BGS degree. - Whiskas - 10-24-2013 When I apply for jobs, I only see boxes for BA and BS degrees. What would I choose if my degree is a Bachelor of General Studies? Would it matter if I chose one of the BA/BS check boxes? Applying for Jobs with BGS degree. - UptonSinclair - 10-25-2013 If it were me, I would stick with BA if my degree is mostly Liberal Arts classes and would check BS if there is a significant number of professional/technical classes. What I mean is, if a number of courses you have taken are applicable to a job you are applying for, you can list some of your coursework. For example, if you are looking to work in business: -------------------------------------------------------------- BGS, Some Universtity -Coursework in Finance, Management and Information Systems -------------------------------------------------------------- Or in human services, -------------------------------------------------------------- BGS, Some University -Coursework in Cultural Diversity, Gerontology, Child Psychology -------------------------------------------------------------- ...and so on and so forth. That is, if you don't already have enough certs and experience to make the above just look like clutter.
