Latest TESC BSBA Plan? - burbuja0512 - 10-06-2013 Hi all, I have downloaded many different degree plans and searched the forum and found a few more. However, it's been a while since I have actively looking at degree plans for my personal use and I'm wondering if anything major has changed. I'm not sure if the many plans I have are valid for 2013. DH is ready to finish up his testing and has decided on a TESC BSBA if possible. I can help him with COSC, but we agree that it might be better if we have degrees from different schools since we both work in the same field and have ended up at the same company on more than one occasion. My question is - does anyone have a very recent BSBA plan from TESC that meets all of their current requirements? His goal is to do mostly testing and Straighterline or other non-traditional options and avoid classes if at all possible. Thanks in advance for the help!! Latest TESC BSBA Plan? - sanantone - 10-06-2013 I have been regularly updating my nearly 100% test out plans. I just don't have the general education requirements because 1. it would take too long to list all of the possible options 2. TESC still hasn't listed which tests will fulfill its new general education requirements. Sanantone's BSBA General Management - Degree Forum Wiki You can try to match up tests for the general education requirements by looking at which TESC courses fall under each category. They currently are not ACE approved. Latest TESC BSBA Plan? - burbuja0512 - 10-07-2013 Thank you!!! I thought I "knew it all" when it came to testing, but it seems that there are enough changes to make it difficult to keep up when you're not working with it frequently. Latest TESC BSBA Plan? - sanantone - 10-08-2013 Someone announced in the general subforum that the approval of all of the ALEKS courses ended on 09/30/2013. Many people have contacted ALEKS and the gist of their responses is that they "are working on it." The last I heard, ALEKS is not even listed on the ACE website anymore. They are also being bought out by McGraw-Hill. They are also being bought out by McGraw-Hill. They'll loose plenty of easy business by not renewing but someone like McGraw Hill probably has their focus on the massive industry of traditional math courses which use ALEKS content. While the courses are not on the ACE website any longer, you can still see them by doing a search through the "add course" link once logged in (all showing the 9/30/2013 expiration). The courses also still show up on the accepted course list for those who completed them already even though they are not currently accepted. The thing to remember is to keep a watchful eye on ACE. They list things as valid until "present" but then suddenly pull the plug without notice as has been seen in the past with Penn Foster courses or even with my workplace credits which are also no longer on the site. ACE is great but watch out if you have long-term plans to use things as they do change. Latest TESC BSBA Plan? - freedegreefree - 10-09-2013 If Aleks courses were placed in my degree plan but not started, will TESC still accept them after I start and finish them without ACE credit? If you didn't complete any ALEKS courses before 9/30, you won't be able to get them accepted. You'll need to wait if/until ALEKS is re-accredited again, which may take a long time. Don't count on using ALEKS to complete your math, you may want to look into StraighterLine or some other source. |
