Anyone Attending TESC's Commencement Ceremony? - LaceyLady - 09-24-2013 Hello folks, Is anyone planning to attend the TESC Commencement Ceremony on Saturday? I am glad that I will be able to attend. Walking in the graduation ceremony will be a wonderful way to celebrate completing my degree. I would love to meet any of my DF friends who are attending! Anyone Attending TESC's Commencement Ceremony? - Lindagerr - 09-24-2013 I did get an AAS this year but since I don't live in Jersey anymore I won't be attending. I did attend when I got my first AA and my BA, it is a wonderful experience to be able to walk up on that stage and say your name; seams to make it all the more real. I did graduate 3 years ago so they might have changed it some. Enjoy your day and if you do plan to meet someone set a time and place it can get crazy. It sounds like a great ceremony but late September isn't good for my schedule. I'm going to make sure I make it to my next one though (for my MBA) Anyone Attending TESC's Commencement Ceremony? - Westerner - 09-26-2013 Next year (nod) Anyone Attending TESC's Commencement Ceremony? - LaceyLady - 10-11-2013 I really enjoyed having the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony and walk across that stage! I enjoyed the honors ceremony, receiving the honors cords, and meeting the dean of the school of business; and walking across the stage and announcing my name in the graduation ceremony, wearing the cap, gown, and cords. There were many people and the ceremony was quite large. It was a wonderful experience and a perfect finale to the degree journey. I was sad not to be able to meet any of my DF friends, but I did meet a couple CollegePlus students and homeschool graduates. It was also a good reason for a great, although short, trip to a part of the country I had never visited. I enjoyed visiting New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia for the first time in three (more like 2 1/2) fun-filled, busy days. We visited each place in one day, including travel time between places, although most of the time visiting New Jersey was spent in the ceremony and related activities. It was a wonderful time of visiting sites, celebrating, too little sleep, and ignoring jet-lag. Everyone still working on your degrees, be encouraged that you will finish and accomplish your goal, and look forward to celebrating your accomplishment. I am looking forward to finishing my next degree (which I am busy working on) and being able to celebrate that as well! |
