I just took an Aleks assessment and it seemed that I only scored 24%. WTH is this. I felt like I got everyone correct.
It was 25 questions and I doubled checked everyone. I was only unsure on 3 of them.

I doubt there is any kind of a glitch in the ALEKS program, maybe you just need to work your way up to College Algebra, start with a lower level of algebra and make sure you have got the basics down pat.
If you really feel confident that you know all the material you were tested on, request another assessment from the master account. If you score the same as the first time, you need to review.

You need to do the above and try to remember some of the questions. If your results are the same plug those questions into Mathways and see if you were really as right as you thought you were.

I agree with Ironheadjack. Its unlikely that there is a glitch in the ALEKS system. There is no partial score (which means if you get even 1 answer wrong in a topic with 3 questions all will be deemed wrong)and you have to be careful with rounding down/up a number.
I did College Algebra last month. I started with Beginning Algebra which took me about 10 hours to complete and then Intermediate Algebra which took me another 10 hour 30 minutes or so. I moved on to college algebra after that and scored 73 on the first assessment so it is possible to get it on the first shot.
I would advice starting at Beginning algebra and working your way upto College Algebra. An assessment at the Beginning algebra level should give you an idea of where you truly stand on your algebraic knowledge. Scoring a 24% in college algebra level would probably put you in the range of maybe 40-50% of intermediate Algebra.

Well i would advice you to take a few of the classes and get your score to cross 70%.. Add it to your ace transcript.. and then move back onto college algebra. I scored something like 75% on INT and due to overlap from that and BEG.. i scored about 73% on College Algebra in my first attempt..
it was Intro To Statistics that kinda killed me with around 20 hours ugh.. but i managed to complete all 4 subjects in the 1 month subscription.

You have to pay attention when they tell you to do calculations up to 3 decimal places and round your answers to 2. I scored 68% on my first assessment and I am sure I missed a few because I was not careful. I realized it while in study mode when it told me my answer was incorrect as I put down 5.38 instead of 5.40. The minute I realized it, I took another assessment and scored 70% (I was sure I would score 80, but 70 would do). I did notice on second assessment I got more questions from area's where I had struggled in first assessment, not sure if it is designed that way or I was just unlucky.

So I am ready to retake the assessment for the Int ALgebra. This would be my second attempt. Will the questions be more difficult and will I have to get more correct to get 70%? I want to transfer it to TESC via Ace.

I think I recall someone saying the first assessment was the easiest, but I could be wrong. IrishJohn, maybe? I think there is a trick where you change courses and then change back to clear the slate.
