I'm taking my first clep today. A&I Lit. Do you have it transcribed on your ACE transcript like ALEKS? I was looking around the forum but I didn't find a strait answer. I plan on registering with TESC when I'm done.

Thanks!

Nope. It looks like you're planning to test everything out. So just choose don't send it to any institution when they ask for it. The college board will bank it, when you need the transcript just send I believe 20 dollars and they will send you a transcript with all the tests.

Goodluck on today test.

edit: Oh yeah, the testing center always print out a copy for you. Remember to save them just in case.

As far as I know, it can't hurt to go ahead and send the scores to your target school on the day of your test. I wish I had at least tried it because it may have saved me the transcript fee later.

Best wishes on your first exam!

As Nap said you can just have it sent to TESC. I was once told they will keep them for 6 months even if they have never heard of you. Before the 6 months is up send in your $75 and apply and they will hold them another 6 months If you enroll then you have a year to finish on one tuition charge. That way all of your exams are in one place and you have 2 years to finish. If you take both DSST and CLEP when you enroll you will have to send both transcripts which is about $50, unless they are already there. You have nothing to lose because it is free to send your results to one school when you test and CLEP/DSST will still hold your results for 20 years.

ACE did record my CLEP test for those that are interested. It took about two weeks but now it shows on my transcript.

Nothing lost by trying. I know that schools I have personal experience with won't keep scores for people not in their system. In other words, if you don't have a student number in their registration system, they won't keep your credit by exam scores.
