Penn foster or CLEP for biology? - determined00 - 08-11-2013

I need 6 science credits. I know that CLEP biology is 6 and If i were to do biology and earth science through penn foster (each are 3) then that would be 6 as well.
I took out the CLEP biology book but I am having such a hard time understanding the material.
Does anyone know about penn foster and how they work? I know it may not be easier but is it very possible to pass through them? which program is it more likely that I will pass?
thanks so much

I totally agree with Shoto - I'd at least attempt the CLEP before shelling out for a course.

If you're having trouble understanding the info try googling for study guides for HS bio, then once you have the gist of the big things try googling study guides for AP bio which is pretty much the same stuff thats on the clep. As an aside, this worked for me for most subjects Ive tested out of that have AP counterparts. Itunes U is also a great resource. Poke through and see if can find a prof that has a down to earth approach and youre golden. It really helps to hear a real person explain the info sometimes!
