General Anthropology DSST - pa$$4sure - 07-28-2013
Has anyone have any experience taking the General Anthropology DSST exam. I know instant-cert has flashcards and theres a bunch of cheat sheets out there, but I was just wondering if anyone has taken this exam and what is their feedback on it. Perhaps this one exam is not very popular amongst test takers.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, i am familiar with that website. It has some good info but I have noticed that there is no practive tests offered for this subject. The only site that I have seen that somewhat does is Instant cert. The dsst practice tests that you pay $5 dollars has everything else except General Anthropology.
I am trying to finish my last credits required and it has to be a social science/ behavoral subject. Right now clep exams are not available for me so I have to take a DSST.

Good question, because I am also curious. I have read that Anthropology for Dummies and InstaCert flashcards make the test quite doable.

I have seen on other sites that the following resources offer tutorial quizzes:
Cultural Anthropology: The Human Challenge (Book Companion Site)
Understanding Physical Anthropology and Archaeology (Book Companion Site)
And by the way, General Anthropology is not the only DSST exam that does not have a practice test available from DSST. The last time I looked there were 16 exam titles that did not have $5 practice exams available. They have quite a number to work through, but it does not appear that they are in any hurry.

No, this isn't a popular test! I took it and passed, in June (2013). If I had to go with just three resources, I would use the Specific Exam Feedback, the Sparknotes Chart, and Snazzlefrag's study notes (below). I found these to be the most helpful!
