SL Intro to Religion - Daithi - 05-13-2013

Does any one know what the StraighterLine "Introduction to Religion" transcribes as at TESC? I was going to take the DSST Intro to World Religions, but if the the SL course will transcribe as upper level then I'd rather do that as it is a lot more convenient.

I thought that these were the only courses that transcribed.

That chart hasn't been updated in a long time and SL has created several new courses.

I think "Intro. to Religion" is a fairly new course, so it isn't in the list you provided (btw, I didn't know that list existed -- very cool).

"Intro. to Business Communcations" is in the list and is an UL course (COM-300), which applies to General Education as a Humanities course. There are two other fairly new courses, "Organizational Behavior" and "Business Ethics." These aren't listed in the above list either, but several Degree Forum members have indicated that they will transcribe as MAN-311 and PHI-384 respectively. They also both count as General Education courses (Social Sciences and Humanities). Hopefully, "Intro. to Religion" will count as UL too.

I just chatted with a SL rep. She said " Only the courses listed on the course equivalency page are accepted by Thomas Edison".

SL is not the place to ask about what TESC will accept. TESC just hasn't officially evaluated the new courses.
