looking for a 5 quarter Unit course online now - inca - 05-05-2013

Hi

I am 5 quarter units short. Looking for an online course I can start and complete before June 30.
Course must be transferable to University of California.

Thanks

5 quarter hours is equal to 3.33 credit hours, so you don't have to limit yourself to schools on the quarter hour system. Just take a course that's 4 semester hours. The quarter hour system is not that popular and some of the schools that were on the system have switched to semester hours. This would make it difficult to find an online course that is specifically in quarter hours and meets your criteria. Have you checked the community colleges in California? I heard they're cheap for California residents. What is your budget and which subject are you looking to take?

Without knowing what you need to take, have already taken or whether this course you need must be LL or UL, it's very difficult to say. Can you transfer in a CLEP or DSST exam? How about an ECE or UExcel exam? There might be plenty of options that way.

UPDATE: Never mind. I just found this policy statement denying credit for CLEP and DSST exams.

UP-UPDATE: How about a course through KCTCS? Can you take more than one to fill in the credits you need? I don't know which courses you need, but you should be able to finish Biology w/ Lab before the deadline. That's worth 4 semester hours of credit, which should be more than enough. Or you can pick another course(s) here.
