I thought I remembered when I applied to COSC back in 2011 that they wouldn't give too many specific answers before enrolling. They did my evaluation before my CC transcript got there even though I asked if they could wait. Since they only do one evaluation before enrollment, I had no idea how a bunch of my courses would transfer after paying them the application fee for that purpose! Now, I know my memory is right. I called them for a breakdown of the GRE subject exams and the admissions person wouldn't tell me anything. She just told me to apply and get an evaluation of my current credits before taking the GRE so that I wouldn't duplicate a bunch of credits. I'm not even enrolled at TESC, and when I email them at info@tesc.edu, they give me pretty specific answers. For example, I already knew from this forum how the TEEX courses were evaluated, but I asked an advisor about them and she gave me the specific course codes. Even with all of their rudeness and misinformation, at least TESC attempts to give specific answers, at least through email unless you get that one advisor. I already know Excelsior is a lost cause in that department.

When I have a specific question for COSC, I skip over the middle man (my enrollment counselor) and look up the correct department for my specific question using their directory.

I'm not enrolled and I'm not paying an application fee just to know how they distribute credits for the GRE. I don't understand why they need to be top secret about this. I could try undergraduate programs or the registrar, but I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't give me any answers without having at least applied.

I work in law enforcement, and I contacted the Assessment Coordinator about possibly having some of my training turned into credit. She was very helpful with providing me information, even before I had applied. If you'd like, I could PM you her contact info. I'd post it on here, but I'd hate for her to get an email from every lurker on this site.

I would appreciate it. Thank you. I was planning on calling again tomorrow since I was in training all day today.
