The search function showed some topics from 2008 but I was wanting to know if someone had recently used this DSST as a psych major elective. I've heard some say they thought TESC would apply it as psych-331 if you're going for a psych degree (their site lists it as a COU course).

Can someone confirm that it can in fact be used as PSYCH-331?

Always confirm with advising through email, not phone. The people on the phone are stupid. I had the course applied as PSY-331 in 2011. I think someone else on this forum had it applied the same last year. If it weren't for the old posts on this forum, I would not have known this test could be applied this way, but things can and do change.

Yes! I took this test a few weeks ago and they applied it as Psy 331 without me asking. When I ran my eval as Social Sciences, they put it under my Concentration. When I ran it as Music (I haven't decided!), it was under Gen Ed.

Excellent, thank you.

The TESC exam programs page had the Fundamentals of Counseling DSST listed under Human Services - COU-262-DE Fundamentals of Counseling
Link -> DANTES

Did they change it in the past few months?

It has always been listed as that, but a lot of people have gotten it automatically transcribed as PSY-331. I don't know why TESC lists it one way and automatically transcribes it another way when the score comes in.
