Hey all -
I am new to this site, and will be taking my first DSST test next week - Principles of Supervision. What advice can you give as far as what to study the most? And is the test multiple choice? Are there any fill in the blank? Sorry if this has been asked already - I'm trying to go through all the topics here and it's a little overwhelming!

Hi, Kathy and welcome! This DSST exam is very similiar to CLEP Principles of Management, so take that one soon afterwards if you need it for your degree plan. All DSST & CLEP exams are multiple choice only, with the exception of a couple that require essays which doesn't include this one. As for study material, give the flashcards on InstantCert.com ($20/month) a try and check out the tips on the portion of this forum that is reserved for IC subscribers. I took this one awhile ago so don't remember the breakdown, but I do recall that for me it was an easy one. The link I gave above provides a breakdown and other study materials found online.

I just took (and passed) this DSST yesterday. Remember to really understand the content of the material because the questions are going to be application questions, not just definitions. I started studying for Principles of Management today and have found a lot of the material not covered under the Principles of Supervision InstantCert section can actually be found under the Principles of Management so I would also reference that section!
