EdTech Master's Program from Mizzou - Levi - 12-30-2012 Hey guys, I haven't been around the forum much since graduating with my BSBA from Thomas Edison. And after being in the work force for a while, I'm starting to miss my college days (!) :p After research and consideration, I have decided to apply for the online Educational Technology Master's Program from University of Missouri. (Which is why I'm scrambling to take the GRE.) Has anyone else researched this option or completed an EdTech degree? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts! For those who may not remember, Levi earned his BSBA from TESC at age 16! Quite impressive. I do wish you much luck, I think you might find more grad school guidance on the "other" board. <wink> EdTech Master's Program from Mizzou - Levi - 12-30-2012 Thanks, Jennifer, it's good to hear from you too! Actually, I finished my bachelor's at age 21... You must be thinking of Farmerboy And I assume you're referring to degreeinfo.com? I'm not too familiar with that board yet. EdTech Master's Program from Mizzou - ryoder - 12-31-2012 Very cool. I just looked at it for the first time. Its 30credits and looks like to cost under 1k per course. Very nice. I am enrolled at USF in the Web Design grad cert in the Instructional Technology department. My 12CR certificate will then transfer into the EdS degree. However I will end up paying over 20k for this degree. So I just emailed Missouri to ask about the EdS Educational Technology in Learning Systems Development. Thats where my interests lie, in software development for educational purposes, not in online teaching or designing one-off instructional aids for the classroom. If they let me transfer in 6CR I will only spend 8k on this EdS degree. That would rock. I'll look into it more and let you know what I find. LSDD - Learning Systems Design & Development EdTech Master's Program from Mizzou - Yanji - 12-31-2012 Don't forget about UBC's Master of Ed Tech programme. They charge $1435 per 3-credit course for everyone (including international) and it's a 30-credit degree. They accept up to 12 credits in transfer and most of the degree is electives so you have a lot of flexibility to take what interests you. As far as brand names go, it doesn't really get much better than UBC either. EdTech Master's Program from Mizzou - cookderosa - 12-31-2012 Levi Wrote:Thanks, Jennifer, it's good to hear from you too!
