Is graduation deadline really that slow at TESC? - darbycreek - 12-28-2012 TESC website says that if you start your last classes in January, you won't be able to graduate until September. I was hoping to graduate in June. So, does it really always take as long as they say? Thanks. ---Andy Is graduation deadline really that slow at TESC? - darbycreek - 12-28-2012 Here is the page where I saw that information on the timing: Graduation Eligibility ---Andy Is graduation deadline really that slow at TESC? - Riley2012 - 12-28-2012 I was told to go off Thomas Edison State College: Graduation Information I was thinking the same thing. According to 2 advisors and the MDC advisor as long as I submit the application by April 1st with the term ending in March it shouldn't be a problem. One piece of advice is to get a one on one with your professor to explain what you are trying to do ahead of time, which I have done. Will be submitting my papers etc early as to avoid any delays. So as long as all official transcripts are in, no outstanding balance, and coursework is done you should be good to go. Fingers crossed! I just got my BA this month with a course I started in September, the key is to submit your form by the deadline they give on the graduation form. By the time they actually run the audit on your courses your grade should be in the system. In this case my course ended at the end of September and the deadline to file for December was October 1st. They told me to go ahead and submit the form at that time and they gave me my diploma months earlier than they show on their graduation site. When you finish your last course then submit the form and you should be included in the next graduation group as long as you meet the filing deadline. Their system seems to be based around the idea that mentors will take a month to submit grades, if you take a course with a fast grading mentor or one without a final exam then you should get grades quicker and be able to graduate sooner. If you aren't sure then I'd recommend you call them when the time comes to file the form. |
