Ayone with past experience? - cooperalex2004 - 12-08-2012 You are going to find you have a bunch of credits that can't be used for that degree such as courses in PE (PEA), Health (HEA), and Ultrasound (ULS). Here is the degree plan with your courses in it, see below in your original post (the quote of it) for how things match. This is the best case scenario, you have some very specific credits related to healthcare and trying to code them into General Education areas may be difficult in some cases. By my count you have UP TO 48 of the credits completed for that degree. My coding is based on experience with my own courses, use of the PLA search tool (Thomas Edison State College: Course Offerings), and the degree planning guide (http://www.tesc.edu/documents/Degree_Planning_Handbook_12.09.pdf). You will find plenty of help from TESC once you enroll, until then I'd focus on the business core courses, taking Macro/Micro Econ, and taking the math courses you are short. If you don't already have a degree from somewhere else you might consider a second degree or a two year (AA, AAS, AS) from TESC which may utilize some of those health or ultrasound credits. I would specifically ask the school once you enroll about the AAS in Applied Health Studies (http://www.tesc.edu/ast/aas/Applied-Health-Studies.cfm). If they will allow you to use your Ultrasound credits in there you may already have enough credits for that degree and simply get that degree as a freebie while you get your BSBA. Tesc actually gave me credit for PE. 1 credit under free electives. Surprised me, I don't even remember a PE class in college. How do you think my classes will transfer over to TESC?? As I listed, they do give the credit but it is free elective and not general education. With room for only six free electives, this person has a bunch of extra "unusable" credits. They are college level but they are also extra and don't have a place to fit beyond the first six credits. How do you think my classes will transfer over to TESC?? Ayone with past experience? - Pjbarney - 12-08-2012 I think I understand what you are saying: an overflow of extra credits, not just TESC won't give credit. Thanks for clarifying. I also believe on another thread OP said she was taking FEMAs before getting an eval from TESC. I had a suspicion, in this case, FEMAs were unnecessary. Thanks for clarifying. Yes, if she is taking FEMA credits she should stop unless she wants to add on the AAS in Environmental, Safety, and Security Technologies. For the accounting degree it is a waste. How do you think my classes will transfer over to TESC?? Ayone with past experience? - Can219 - 12-09-2012 Thanks for all your information!!! I thought the FEMA classes could go under my free electives?? Otherwise I'm going to get Micro/ Macro and the math out of the way! How do you think my classes will transfer over to TESC?? Ayone with past experience? - Can219 - 12-09-2012 I know it's strange going from a medical degree to accounting but I know TESC is generous so I was just curious about how much would transfer...Thanks Again. Yes, they would, but it appears you already have more free electives than you need. How do you think my classes will transfer over to TESC?? Ayone with past experience? - Can219 - 12-09-2012 Thanks!
