SL or CLEP - koenigtv - 11-21-2012 I need to take micro and macro economics and accounting 1 and 2 for a BSBA. I have no prior knowledge of either subject and wonder if it's possible to learn/study the material enough with IC to CLEP out or if SL is a better option? SL or CLEP - marquardt21 - 11-21-2012 You can pass the Clep micro and macro economics test using IC. I had no prior knowledge of these subjects and I passed them both. I scored a 51 on the macro test and a 57 on the micro test yesterday. They are not easy but with study you can pass them. I did not use IC for these 2 test but speedy prep which is like IC but cost a bit more. I also bought a used college textbook to study. SL or CLEP - Pjbarney - 11-21-2012 You are going to have to study for either. Start with one course, if you are leaning toward CLEP (or SL) go that route and find out if that method works for you. I started with SL simply because I got my registration in before the proctored exam requirement. I might have started with a CLEP otherwise. This is working for me, and I'm gaining the confidence that I have what it takes to study and CLEP or DSST out of the rest. If you are still on the fence, pick up the textbook (look on the syllabus) for a SL class and start reading. You can find the books used on Amazon or Ebay for under $10. Your advance reading will help whether you SL or CLEP. Just jump in and start. |
