I am currently going to school online at WGU, the school allows classes to be self paced.

Should I complete the degree in 6 months(I have enough time to study) or should I push it out and stay in the program for a year? It is a two year program.

My main concern is will employers look down on you finishing your MBA in 6 months vs 2 years?

Personally, I would go for it in 6 months. It will save you a lot of time that you could otherwise be using to, for example, get a head start on a job. As far as employers looking down on you for finishing so quickly, I would think it would actually be the opposite of that -- I think they would be impressed by your work ethic and maybe even eager to hire someone who, when they put their mind to something, finishes it quickly and thoroughly. Smile Since your degree/classes will be fully accredited, they can't say you didn't really "earn" your degree. In the end, though, you need to go with the way to get your degree that you are the most comfortable with. Just my thoughts. Smile Good luck on your degree!

It doesn't matter how slow or fast you finish. I have been in my career field, Aerospace/Aviation, for 22 years and I am an Contract Quality Engineer. I have never had a company ask me how long did it take you to finish your degree. All they do in a background check is verify the school and if you did, in fact, graduate from said institution with what you list on your resume and appliction. If you think about it, it is kind of like the HIPPA laws. They can only give out certain information. I would finish in 6 months and get it behind me so I can get on with life if it were me. If, I had to do all over again, thats how I would approach your situation.
