Hey folks!!! Love this Forum, needs some Advice on my TESC, BSBA CIS degree plan! - brucet3 - 10-26-2012 [attachment=545] My goal is to enroll in TESC for one semester and then graduate. I'm still waiting on my initial evaluation by TESC... wish they would hurry up. I'm fired up and ready to GO! I want to use a combination of SL, ALEKS, CC Credits and CLEP/DSST/TECEP to complete my BSBA in CIS are TESC sometime next year!!! So I've blown through Straighterline this month (wife is a little  - every night, 6 hours a night, for the last month I've been reading and taking exams). I just need a little help tweaking my Degree plan and placing classes properly. I've taken so far: Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: ?Good for 4cr... still being processed by ACE. Not sure if/where they will be awarded by TESC. Community College (20cr): Major Voice (6cr), Minor Piano (3cr), SSC Choir (3cr), French Diction (1cr), German Diction (1cr), Intro to Philosophy (3cr), Logic PHL105 (3cr). ALEKS (15 cr): (Beginner Algerbra- doesnt count below the 101 college level), Int Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calc, Stats, and Trigonometry. Straighterline (39 cr): Accounting I, Accounting II, Economics I, Economics II, Business Communications, Introductory Biology for Non-Majors, Managerial Accounting, Intro. To Psychology, Intro. to Business, US History I, US History II, Business Ethics, and Organizational Behavior The thing that I don't understand how to place mostly are the major classes and the business electives. Any help would be appreciated guys. You've helped me so much already just reading your experiences and posts. Thanks in advance. Hey folks!!! Just thought I'd mention, my TESC eval. just showed up this week. It took over 6 weeks and I still haven't received the email from TESC, I've just been checking everyday online. I don't know if they are still working on it or my email saying it's ready just slipped through the cracks. Anyway, I emailed after 5 weeks and asked about the progress of my eval. I received a reply right away, saying it had been assigned and should be done in a few days. Don't know if that hurried the process or not, but it can't hurt. Hey folks!!! I made a BSBA in General Management plan with just about all of the Straighterline, ALEKS, and test out options. All of it applies to the BSBA CIS with the exception of the area of study. http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-thomas-edison-charter-oak-specific/16861-how-completely-test-out-tesc-degrees.html A couple of more links that might be useful to you. Love this Forum, needs some Advice on my TESC, BSBA CIS degree plan! - brucet3 - 10-28-2012 I've looked through all of those threads guys... in my original post, I screwed up the excel file :nopity: Anyway, here is the fixed version. Still confused about what to take and where in the business and CIS concentration classes. thanks guys! Also, if anyone needs a study guide for Straighterline Organization Behavior or Business Ethics PM me. Those classes were beasts but I can pass my notes along if anyone is interested. |
