Hey everyone. This is my rough draft for my degree at tesc. Just looking for a little help with it. If anyone can offer any help or advice it'd be greatly appreciated. I've struggled to put this together, although I think I've finally got it. Feel free to add to it or move courses around. I added a bunch of business courses for the elective in case fema won't cover everything. Thanks again in advance.

(30) - Straighterline Calc 1, Calc 2, TESC calc 3, TESC college geometry, TESC history of mathematics,Aleks Statistics, Straighterline Physics, DSST Management Information Systems, DSST Environment and Humanity: The Race to Save the Planet, Clep Biology, Straighterline Anatomy and Physiology, Lib-495 Liberal Arts Capstone
2. At least three different subjects must be included, which provides for breadth of knowledge in the natural sciences/mathematics. Also, students must earn at least 12 credits in one subject area. A maximum of 18 credits can be earned in any one subject area in order to have a balanced interdisciplinary concentration.
3. Courses transferred to Thomas Edison State College are equated to the following levels: 100, 200, 300 or 400. A maximum of two college-level courses equating to the 100 level can be applied toward the area of concentration. A minimum of 18 credits equating to 300 or 400 Thomas Edison State College courses are required.
4. LIB-495 Liberal Arts Capstone is required.

Looks good to me, but to save money you could take ALEKS Intermediate Algebra, and Trigonometry or Precalculus (not both as they duplicate) instead of the CLEP Natural Sciences. Also, unless you have taken all those exams under free electives I would just complete all 27 credits through FEMA for free.

I could be missing something, but I only count 5 UL courses when there should be 6 or at least 18 credits.

So I can replace the natural sciences clep with aleks? That would end up saving me some money? Would it be possible to substitute the the natural sciences clep for the biology? I've read that natural sciences should be easier than biology? Anybody have any ideas for my other upper level course that I'm missing? I looked into network technology tecep, however I'm terrible with computers and the dsst's involving computers will be challenging enough. Thanks for any help or advice anyone will be able to offer.

Correct, ALEKS is only $20 per month and since you are taking calculus you are obviously pretty good at math so you could knock out 4 ALEKS courses in a month no problem. You could substitute the Natural Sciences CLEP for the Biology CLEP, but you will still have 3 too many lower level credits and 3 too few upper level.
I saw another thread where you were getting good advice on other upper level math classes that you could take at other colleges. I am working on the same degree and I am currently taking ENS-314 Global Environmental Change at TESC which is upper level and 6 credits - you could consider that too. If you took that then you could knock one lower level and one upper level class off what you have planned in your major so far.

How do you like that global environmental change course? Are there a lot of papers? Is it difficult? So I could take out the biology or natural sciences clep and maybe the anatomy and add this course?

You would have to take out 3 UL and 3 LL credits - I think the biology and natural sciences are both 6 LL credits. I am enjoying the class. There are 2 discussion postings and one paper due every 2 weeks over the 12 week class, as well as a proctored midterm exam and a final paper.

Hey everyone. This is my revised version of my degree plan using everyone's advice. I also added a couple courses from byu independent study and lsu independent study. What are people's experiences with those places? Anyways here it is again. Hopefully this one will work. Thanks for all the help ahead of time.

I haven't taken them yet. I added them in there in case I can't get 27 units worth of fema. I'm not sure how many fema courses are available. I also forgot to edit that part out of the plan.
